Hah! finally arrived the books i ordered. Thanks dubookpress. Can’t wait to read it and open up the mind. Haven’t read a single book nowadays. Need to do it more often. Now..off to enjoy my books!!

Testing

Testing random entry using iPad wordpress app. So far ok but still need to get used to it. Haven’t update for a while due to busy with work also nothing cross my mind to update this blog (sooo lazy sial). Until next time.

USB Stick PC

Wow..today’s technology really make what yesterday impossible now possible. Now we can actually have a tiny pc with us or to be precise a usb stick pc. This usb stick pc is the idea of a game developer, David Braben, as a tool of education for children to learn about computers while being cheap and reliable as it will be running linux os, most probably Ubuntu. The stick will be sold for $25 a piece. If only here in malaysia have something like this. I bet it can save a lot of money and all the school can afford to buy this kind of pc. I know for a fact computer is not cheap here. Even a second hand computer can cost you a few hundred ringgits.

This tiny pc will be distributed through a foundation called the Raspberry Pi Foundation and hopefully this device will be available within the next 12 months as stated by Braben.

The specs are as below:

700MHz ARM11
128MB of SDRAM
OpenGL ES 2.0
1080p30 H.264 high-profile decode
Composite and HDMI video output
USB 2.0
SD/MMC/SDIO memory card slot
General-purpose I/O
Open software (Ubuntu, Iceweasel, KOffice, Python)
